Wishon
Tom Wishon began designing
custom clubmaking components in
1985. Since then, he has designed more original clubhead models in more
different areas of materials and production processes than any other
designer in the history of the game. He remains the only designer in
the component clubmaking industry to have created clubhead models which
have been used to win on the PGA Tour and the Ryder Cup.
The 919THI faces are designed to offer a superb combination of both on and off-center hit distance. TWGT is truly proud of its face design capability and the 919THI face is a perfect example of how that skill translates into outstanding performance. The elongated back design pushes the CG to a point of 48mm back from the face to offer a higher launch angle without having to increase loft. TWGT's extended back design shape sets up beautifully at address and allows golfers to play with a 5,000 g-cm2 MOI without having to accept a radical shape.
Tom Wishon 870Ti Irons
The 870Ti has a forged, CNC machined, variable thickness Beta-Titanium face design that increases the ball speed to the highest possible level for an iron design.Thinner, Beta-Titanium face design allows even more weight to be removed from the face than is possible with a 6/4 Ti face to be positioned on the toe and heel areas to increase the MOI of the head for even better off-center hit performance. Slightly oversize head shape and profile automatically increases the MOI over more traditional iron head sizes to add even more to the off-center hit capability of the 870Ti. The face profile allows a larger face area to increase the size of the Beta-Ti face and the ability of the face to flex more to offer a higher COR for the highest possible ball velocity in an iron design. Reduced-offset hosel design allows a wider range of players to benefit from the super high performance design characteristics of the 870Ti. Fully radiused sole grind with beveled leading edge provides the most playability for all levels of golfers from all types of lie conditions.

Another TWGT Design First! The first shallow face woods with a 0.830 COR for more distance and higher trajectory. The most shallow face fairway wood (32mm)in the TWGT original design line, the new 949MC fairway woods are also designed with an all new, super-thin high strength steel alloy to be the first shallow face wood to reach a COR of 0.830. 949MC fairways are ideal for any level of golfer who desires a more shallow face height as well as golfers who need a lower face height to help hit the ball higher off the deck.
